1. Business Development Officer – Business Equipment - Outside Sales
We are currently seeking Outside BDOs to call on and solicit business from local independent truck dealers, restaurant, office and medical equipment dealers, or construction equipment dealers in the above cities. Some Leads provided.
As a BDO you will be responsible for growing a territory by partnering with dealerships and enrolling them into our indirect equipment financing program. You will be expected to make dealer visits, cold calls and take inbound calls from dealerships to build relationships and capture their business. This will include signing up new dealerships and generating new loan/lease applications. Once you have established these relationships our in house processors will work on the applications and gather additional documentation as needed. We will also work with the underwriters to find multiple options for each customer provided they are qualified for multiple offers.
Essential Duties :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships with dealer principals and decision makers
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Well developed business management, presentation and relationship selling skills
• High level of accountability and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
• Ability to work independently
• Strong customer service skills
• Dealership operations and product knowledge preferred
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years experience selling to auto/truck dealers- great experience could come from selling financing – VSCs – GPS systems and similar products to auto dealers. Real estate agents, bank loan officers, mortgage loan officers and other sales backgrounds are helpful.
- Knowledge of the local market and preferably existing relationships with dealers in the area (which does require all candidates to live local to the market).
- The ability to operate and travel within a 100 mile radius of territory more than 75% of the time, which requires a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- PROVEN SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE is a must – we will ask for references and check them!
COMPENSATION:
- Uncapped commissions, monthly bonuses and company paid annual sales trip (2016 is to Puerto Rico in January 2017).

- All BDOs will build a book of at least 50 vendors/dealers in which you will meet with either weekly or bi-weekly (5-10 per day)
